Senn Dunn Insurance CEO to Chair the JDRF Walk in Greensboro

Senn Dunn Insurance is pleased to announce that CEO T. Gray McCaskill, has been selected as the 2013 Chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk to be held in Greensboro on Saturday, September 28, at Center City Park. JDRF is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes and is the largest charitable funder of and advocate for diabetes science worldwide.

BCBSNC: Big Three 3-Point Challenge

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) recently announced the results of their Big Three 3-Point Challenge.  This contest between the Duke, UNC, and NC State basketball teams raised money for North Carolina Charities during the 2012-2013 season. Each team's three-point shots were tallied and turned into donations to their selected charities. The contest also involved the votes of ACC fans via text. Duke Children's Hospital, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and The NC State Family Scholarship all received significant donations as a result of this friendly contest.

Race The Bar - March race

The first 5 k race in the Race the Bar series 2013 was this past Saturday, March 23rd.  There was a great turnout and even some familar faces from Senn Dunn took part in the race.  See below for some pictures and winners!

BCBSNC: Finding Prescription Drug Prior Review and Limitations Information Is Now Easier

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC (BCBSNC) has updated the Prior Approval/Review and Limitations section of bcbsnc.com to make it easier for agents, providers and customers to find information about prescription drugs.
You can now easily search for each drug by name in the alphabetical glossary, and find the following information:
• The type of review required (prior review, quantity limitation, or restricted access / step therapy)
• The criteria required to meet approval
• If the drug is automatically covered under all BCBSNC formularies (Basic and Enhanced)

The new web link is www.bcbsnc.com/umdrug.

Please note that this new site does not apply to the State Health Plan, Federal Employee Program, or Blue MedicareSM.

This campaign helps support customer education on health care costs and industry trends. Let’s Talk Cost sheds light on the drivers of rising medical costs so that we can all work together to rein in costs.
